      Infrastructure Engineering Senior Analyst – CICS Systems Programmer

      Position Overview

      This role provides counsel and advice to management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as CICS System Programmer for Mainframe services who is able to debug system and application dumps using IPCS and Abend-aid tools. Must be expert at SMP/E product installs.

      This position we are looking to fill needs to be a Subject Matter Expert on all CICS products and features. CICSPlex install and setup knowledge is a must.

      This role is a senior level position and must be able to assist in setting technical direction for the CICS environment.

      Responsibilities

      • Install, customize, support and maintain CICS TS and related products.
      • Maintained baseline operations for the CICS test and production environments.
      • Provided technical support and problem determination for both systems and applications teams.
      • Support the recovery of system enterprise amid disaster recovery exercises.
      • Take ownership role for and resolve highly complex or critical incidents within the mainframe CICS environment.
      • Provide project consultation to business application teams; assist in the design and development of CICS code that would be used for CICS team support needs.
      • Identify CICS Performance and Tuning opportunities. Work with business application.
      • Be able to work off hours as needed to support product maintenance and installs.

      Qualifications

      Required Skills:

      • Self-Starter and self-motivated
      • Leadership skills: ability to effectively coach, mentor and provide direction for junior technical resources.
      • Required strong interpersonal, collaboration and team skills.
      • Effective oral and written communication is needed.

      Required Experience & Education:

      • 3 to 5 years of experience
      • Bachelor’s degree or better preferred
      • OS/Subsystem/environment: z/OS, CICS, CTG/z, TSO/ISPF, DB2, UNIX Systems Services, CICSPlex, VsamRLS
      • Software: SMP/E, IPCS, Tivoli-Monitoring, Microsoft Office products Omegamon
      • Languages: COBOL, Assembler, JAVA, MVS/REXX, ISPF Dialog
      • Network: TCP/IP, VTAM, LU 6.2, APPC, FTP, TN3270
