      Role Description

      Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager provides operational support of our mainframe storage Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a high-performing, positive and strong technical leader who is methodical, inquisitive, and has a passion for technology, growth and customer service.

      Position Responsibilities

      • Will be responsible for Mainframe Storage Infrastructure daily operations and provide support for the engineering team.
      • Responsible for organizing all code upgrades in support of product currency & system refresh of all equipment defined by system lifecycles.
      • Will continually look for opportunities to create efficiencies in our environment that translate into automation toolsets that allow our Teams to do better work and eliminate repetitive, manual tasks.
      • Will guide and lead the Team prioritize, make the right choice and to understand the importance of excellence and ownership
      • Will be able to handle ambiguous situations
      • Will help the team to deliver best value quickly and at the best cost in an agile environment
      • Communicate and collaborate with teams across the organization to drive the best Mainframe storage administration, management, operational and procedural practices.
      • Serve as well respected positive leader within Cigna

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent in education and experience is preferred
      • At least 5+ years of leadership experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations discipline with experience supporting a 24x7 always on environment
      • At least 2+ years of experience in managing IT teams
      • At least 3+ years of experience supporting mainframe storage administrators, systems engineers, enterprise storage architects or advisors.
      • Strong background in IBM and Broadcom storage management tools and technologies like FDR, Storage Insights, RMM, CSM, GDPS-Hyperswap.
      • Experience with installation and support of high end storage systems, virtual tape systems, FICON directors, backup and recovery, monitoring and automation tools.
      • Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices such as ITIL
      • Knowledge and experience with working within an Agile environment
      • Demonstrated excellence in leadership ability to engage and motivate staff and matrix partners in a high performance culture
      • Strategic thinker with both sound and broad business acumen
      • Proven experience managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change
      • Change leader who will be proactive in assisting in positive growth for the future
      • Experience with vendor relationship management
      • Able to turn high-level ideas into concrete action plans
      • Able to prioritize across a wide array or projects and effectively communicate prioritization decisions to relevant stakeholders
      • Able to effectively manage to agreed-upon deliverable dates
      • Detail-oriented in delivery of platform enhancements, analytic products, and stability measures
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Experience in Healthcare industry a plus
