      Job Summary

      To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Injection Molding Design Engineer located in Buffalo Grove IL.

      Reporting to the Design and Engineering Manager, the Injection Molding Design Engineer will be responsible for Injection Mold Design engineering tooling protocols for molds, required to meet products specifications.

      What a typical day looks like:

      • Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs, and fixtures as per product specifications.
      • Participate in design reviews.
      • Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation.
      • Implement cost effective tool design changes.
      • Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling, and final part approval.
      • Provide status reports as per established schedule.
      • Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.
      • Assisting in the creation of engineering layouts, drawings, and documentation using CAD systems, and collaborating on new or modified designs.
      • Establishing design standards and ensuring compliance with company specifications.
      • Preparing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and bills of materials to maintain accurate documentation.

      The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

      • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Design injection mold building)
      • Auto CAD experience
      • REQUIRED plastic injection molding and tooling experience
      • Interpretations of layouts and drawings
      • Capacities analysis
      • Proficiency in Excel and MS office programs
      • Knowledge medical validations
      • Previous experience working in SolidWorks and Siemens/NX

      $67,100.00 USD - $92,300.00 USD Annual
