      Job Description

      Injection Molding Technician

      II. Essential Job Functions:

      · Effectively manage the setup, processing on injection machines.

      · Responsible for managing mold changes according to kanban system, setting dies for required runs and troubleshooting injection machine and mold issues.

      · Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence/reoccurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, and processes.

      · Perform root cause analysis and document in problem solving format.

      · Support continuous improvement activities to optimize processes.

      · Hand over new and improved processes to other technicians.

      · Support engineering projects and new program launches.

      · Other duties as assigned

      III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

      Education:

      · High School diploma or GED required

      Experience:

      · 5 years plus Injection Molding Technician required.

      Personal/Technical Skills:

      · Self-starter with strong work ethic

      · Flexibility in a changing environment

      · Working knowledge of tool and equipment design, automation, robotics, and in Injection Molding process.

      · Basic understanding of the industrial equipment and manufacturing processes relating to Injection Molding.

      · Ability to troubleshoot and track equipment issues to perform root cause analysis and support correcting issues with equipment suppliers.

      · Effective time management skills.

      · Ability to work in a team environment.

      · Strong organization and planning skills.

      · Ability to adopt a self-directed work style

      · Able to work in a fast paced, multicultural work environment.

      · Familiar with root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.

      · Active listener with effective communication and interpersonal skills.

      · Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.

      · Ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a team environment.

      Language Skills:

      · English, both written and verbal

      Computer/Software:

      · Basic Microsoft Office applications



      IV. Work Environment/Conditions:

      Plant: Automotive manufacturing plant

      Travel: 0-40%

      V. Physical Demands:

      While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.
