      Job Title: Injection Mold Technician

      Job Description

      Join our team in Moorpark, CA as an Injection Molding Set-Up Technician. You will manage all aspects of the injection mold process, including changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate machines, perform start-ups and shutdowns, and make necessary machine adjustments while ensuring safety and quality requirements are met.
      • Set up and process all molding machines to optimum conditions, ensuring they operate under validated parameters.
      • Ensure department procedures are understood and followed.
      • Assist operators in processing and troubleshooting.
      • Perform routine maintenance on molds, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
      • Direct and perform mold changeovers, establish changeover cycle time sheets, and process sheets.
      • Participate in special projects and assignments.
      • Engage in Process Management Teams and LEAN initiatives.
      • Communicate effectively with department personnel and support functions such as Quality and Tool Room.
      • Report shift performance, including downtime, production, and scrap, in the absence of the Team Leader.
      • Participate in all training programs.
      • Work flexible hours as required.
      • Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Group Lead and Manager.

      Essential Skills

      • Two plus years of Injection Molding processing experience on presses ranging from 50 to 1500 ton.
      • Experience with hot runner systems.
      • Understanding of machine controls and set points.
      • Ability to troubleshoot processes and perform root cause analysis.
      • Knowledge of processing different types of resins.
      • Good mechanical aptitude.
      • Ability to multi-task.
      • Knowledge of hand tools.

      Work Environment

      Work in an extremely fast-paced environment with 60 Injection Mold Machine Operators. 3rd shift from 10:00pm-6:30am. Expect to stand the entire day, with a lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOORPARK, California.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
