      Injection Mold Technician

      Job Description

      • Troubleshoot and resolve processing problems with injection molding machines.

      • Set up molds and start up molding machines and auxiliary equipment in accordance with Device Master Record and validated process parameter guides.

      • Responsible for cleanliness and orderly condition of the molding department.

      • Observance of all safety and environmental procedures and good manufacturing practices.

      • Relay pertinent product and quality-related information to operators, inspectors, supervisors, and peers.

      • Accurately record and report waste and assist in maintaining inventory control.

      • Diagnose tooling problems and perform minor repairs, insert changes, and minor mold preventive maintenance.

      • Submit first shot setup inspections to quality and confirm job is running within ECA quality control standards.

      • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.

      • May troubleshoot electrical problems with mold hot sprues, barrel heats, relieve operators for break times, and engage in material handling, cleaning, and loading material in dryers.

      • Maintain clean working conditions in assigned area and report any safety hazards immediately.

      Work Environment

      Working in a clean room where you wear a head gown and full bunny suit. No makeup, jewelry, or perfume. This is a 2nd shift role.
