Position Overview
Are you an expert in color matching and ink formulations? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality control? We want YOU to be our next Ink Kitchen Technician.
We are seeking a Ink Kitchen Technician on 2nd shift. The Ink Kitchen Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining ink formulations to meet customer specifications and production requirements in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
This role will require precision in color matching, quality control, and inventory.
Responsibilities
-Prepare ink batches according to specific color requirements and production schedules.-Conduct color matching and adjustments to ensure consistency and quality. Perform tests and trials to meet customer color specifications.-Inspect ink batches for quality, consistency, and performance. Maintain records of formulations and adjustments.-Monitor and manage ink inventory levels. Order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted production.-Clean and maintain ink kitchen equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency and safety.-Keep accurate records of all ink formulations, adjustments, and quality control measures.-Work closely with production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of ink supplies. Communicate any issues or delays that may affect production schedules.-Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Ensure the ink kitchen area is clean and safe at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in ink formulation and color matching, preferably in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
-Strong attention to detail, excellent color vision, and the ability to work accurately under pressure. Proficiency in using color matching equipment and software.-High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training in ink technology or a related field is a plus.-Ability to lift and carry ink containers, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
-Applicants will be required to pass a color vision test to ensure accurate color matching capabilities.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a fast pace manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, and various ink and chemical substances.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
