      The IBEX Director will play a critical role in the local senior leadership team, with a focus on driving growth through innovation strategy and implementation related to customer engagement, digital/IT innovation, data-driven business insights, and sales excellence. Collaborating closely with various departments, particularly business leaders, sales, finance, and HR, the IBEX Director will lead the business excellence agenda. The IBEX Director will serve as a strategic leader, anticipating future technologies and trends, seizing business opportunities in a dynamic environment, and guiding change with actionable strategies.

      Accountabilities/Duties

      • Drive the transformation of data, digital, and commercial excellence within the Swiss marketing company to optimize commercial performance, enhance customer engagements, and facilitate strategic decision-making for both internal and external stakeholders.

      • Lead and develop a team of experts specializing in Business Insights, IT Business, Digital, and Capability Excellence.

      • Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and trends, particularly artificial intelligence, within the Swiss organization to enhance productivity and personalize customer engagements.

      • Take responsibility for the continuous digital transformation of AstraZeneca, including improving capability and performance within existing business systems.

      • Formulate and lead change management programs to facilitate the integration of digital practices throughout the business.

      • Spearhead sales force effectiveness and segmentation & targeting initiatives across BBU, working in collaboration with business and regional leads, and ensuring tracking of progress versus plan and implementation of corrective action plans for relevant challenges.

      • Be accountable for developing and implementing capabilities to future-proof the organization, and to further strengthen existing selling, account working, brand planning, and digital capabilities.

      • Take ownership of sales analytics to benchmark and measure sales force activities, sales momentum, and growth, ensuring relevant stakeholders follow appropriate measures.

      • Assume responsibility for the local IT Business strategy in alignment with WESE and the local Digital team.

      • Strategically shape the future of the local data architecture, establishing a robust technical framework and ensuring data accuracy.

      • Enable GenAI implementation to improve business excellence and to personalize customer engagements.

      • Accelerate business outcomes through impactful collaborations aligned with strategy, with a focus on HCP networks, hospital pharmacies, and wholesalers.

      • Be responsible for hospital commercial contracts, ensuring the identification and promotion of value-adding collaborations.

      Role requirements

      • Masters degree in relevant field

      • Background in large global organisation (preferably pharma or healthcare)

      • Line management experience

      • Strong business understanding, subject-matter expertise in Strategic Planning, Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing and Innovation

      • Proven business partnering skills across multiple stakeholder groups

      • Proven project management skills in matrix organizations

      • Evidence of the ability to pull together diverse and high-performing teams

      • Experience of successful influencing cross-functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands

      • Excellent communication skills, evidence of independence and being an innovative seeker of strategic solution and a strong conceptual thinker

      • Fluent in English. German and/or French - advantage
