Job Description
- Req#: 25511
- Ensure the department is adhering to the latest lithium and alternate chemistry guidelines, including documentation, testing, storage, teardown, tracking and disposal
- Responsible for documentation in terms of procedures, requests and general R&D practices
- Coordinating power outages, calibration, and upgrades to equipment
- Test circuit upkeep and utilization
- Program circuits for all circuit providers
- Keep lab in clean/working condition
- Verify all tools and equipment are kept in proper location
- Coordinate test circuit usage and availability in all R&D labs
- Stay current on lab circuit technology and make suggestions for equipment upgrades
- Ensure waterbaths are clean and in working order
- Assist both basic and applied research initiatives with testing and other activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Enjoy working with computers
- Strong mechanical skills
- Literate (Ability to read scientific documents, project reports, specifications)
- Fundamental understanding of battery testing, teardown and programming
- MiniTab or other statistical tool

Overview
East Penn is currently seeking a Testing & Equipment Coordinator to ensure the R&D labs meet the current needs of the department in terms of safety, equipment, tools, test capabilities and layout.

Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of Lab experience
Significant understanding of battery testing techniques including alternate chemistries
Good attendance record
Education/Certification
4-year degree (in engineering or other appropriate degree such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, etc.): or equivalent combination of a 2-year degree (in engineering or other appropriate discipline) and related experience.
