      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Read and interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures for inpatient encounters
      - Complete final review of medical records and select appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes within designated deadlines
      - Review documentation to ensure medical necessity aligns with assigned codes
      - Assign working diagnosis, DRG, and expected length of stay based on admission records and ongoing hospitalization
      - Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists II to address documentation deficiencies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or GED with one of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA
      - Current CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification, with a requirement to obtain CCS within 12 months of hire
      - Minimum of two years of coding experience
      - Self-directed with strong critical thinking and collaborative abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Degree in Health Information Management or a related field
      - Two years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility
      - Current CCS certification preferred
