      Basic Job Functions:

      The Inside Sales Representative works in a team environment to professionally represent the Nucor Steel Plate Group with team members and customers on a daily basis. This team member must handle all calls and requests for information in a professional manner while working accurately and timely. Other responsibilities include: Coordinate with customers and team members across the Nucor Plate Group to sell and service customers; Provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquiries; Provide timely status updates to customers; Enter customer orders timely and accurately with attention to detail. Some travel will be required for customer visits, dinners, and industry functions. Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and team work while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site within our Quality Control System. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor Degree of Business or equivalent years of related work experience in industrial sales or customer service.
      • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Tools
      • Willingness to travel
      • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

      Physical Demands

      • Computer use: Extended typing, data entry, and screen time for CRM, email, and orders.
      • Manual dexterity: Frequent hand use for typing, phone, and documents.
      • Visual focus: Sustained attention to screen details.

      Environmental Demands

      • Office-based: Primarily in a climate-controlled setting.
      • Mill access: Occasional exposure to noise, heat, dust, machinery, and uneven surfaces; PPE required.
      • Fast-paced: Requires multitasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of the steel plate market
      • Strong Customer Service skills
      • Knowledge of Oracle EBS
