- This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
- Reviews completed inspection forms, attached pictures, maps and other information submitted from inspectors in company systems (such as SAP, Sherlock and others) to analyze and evaluate the inspector’s conclusions.
- Presents findings and makes recommendations to management on assigned special projects.
- Reviews, approves and releases staging notifications, corrective notifications and orders submitted by inspectors based on the priority of work tasks.
- Provides training and/or feedback for Inspectors related to selecting the appropriate FDA (Facility/Damage/Action) for a maintenance issue identified, required information for Line Corrective (LC) or EC (Distribution) notifications, general feedback on quality of photos, etc.
- Assists with the implementation of process improvement and efficiencies.
- Performs quality assurance reviews, as applicable, based on the EC/LC field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the originating inspector.
- Assists others using established processes, practices and procedures, as needed.
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- Utility industry experience, or related, 5 years
- Ability to travel up to 15 percent of working time
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Materials, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
Experience in engineering, 4 years
Experience as electric Journeyman, 5 years

Department Overview
The CIRT (Centralized Inspection Review Team) Inspection Review Specialist examines and reviews the findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents apply their experience as a line worker or Engineering, PG&E standards and procedures to validate and recommend determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed. The successful candidate will work closely with other CIRT SME’s/CIRT Engineers and clearly communicate findings with other lines of business (System Inspections, Asset Strategy, Standards, Maintenance and Construction, and others) to ensure program success.
Position Summary
The Inspection Review Specialist examines and reviews the findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents identify trends in the findings of other personnel, prepare reports and recommendations and validate determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed. Job level is an individual contributor. May support other workgroups dependent on business needs.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from:
Bay Area Minimum: $49.04
Bay Area Maximum: $77.88&/OR
California Minimum: $46.63
California Maximum: $74.03This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
