Job Description
- Req#: 2819
- Work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, holidays, and emergency situations;
- Manually lift, push, and pull up to 90 lbs;
- Work in inclement weather conditions (including snow, rain & cold);
- Kneel, crouch and work above shoulders on occasion;
- Work safely aloft from a ladder, pole gaffs, or bucket truck near energized equipment and/or power lines;
- Ability to work standby on a rotating basis.

Eastlink is currently seeking an Installation Technician to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The successful candidate is required to reside in or be willing to re-locate to this management area.
As a member of an experienced in-field technical team, the Installation Technician will be responsible for providing superior customer service to our customers through a professional installation of Eastlink Services. This will include installing our Internet, Video and Telephony services as well as completing locates to protect the Eastlink network. During the installation process you will work towards the ultimate goal of providing the superior services that Eastlink is known for.
Eastlink provides in-house technical and safety training as well as training on specific services and duties that will increase with experience to ensure you have the skills to succeed. As the ideal candidate, you are a professional, customer orientated individual who has strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude and enjoys working in a fast-paced customer facing work environment. You are a graduate of a recognized Electronics program. Relevant industry installation experience is considered an asset. NCTI or SCTE training is considered an asset. Committed to fostering a safe work environment, you proactively demonstrate Occupational Health & Safety work safe practices. Able to travel throughout the region, you require a valid driver’s license coupled with a satisfactory driving record. As part of the recruitment process a drivers abstract, and criminal background check will be requested.
