      The Institutional Research Analyst provides research support to the Institutional Research department. The Analyst assists with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and communicating data for internal and external requests. Provides support for projects relating to accreditation, external affairs, planning, institutional research, continuous improvement, institutional effectiveness, and other assessment needs.

      Principal Duties & Responsibilities

      • Assists in the operation of the ongoing, integrated, and system-wide data-driven assessment, improvement, operational, and accreditation processes.
      • Assists in the preparation of data-focused improvement, operations, and accreditation documents, including data collection, organization, and analysis.
      • Assists in the preparation of reports for internal and external constituencies, as assigned.
      • Monitors and tracks the data-gathering process, assessment reporting, and progress of functional units toward achieving identified goals and outcomes.
      • Supports the system’s research and analyses activities, including the organization and communication of survey data, assessment results, statistical reports, etc.
      • Provides support to all departments and academic programs for various research, assessment, accreditation, operations, and/or improvement functions.
      • Collaborates across departments to plan and collect data based on business needs.

      Education and Experience: Minimum
      • Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

      • 3+ years in a higher education environment working on data collection, analysis, and/or reporting projects

      Education and Experience: Preferred
      • Master’s Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

      • Prior experience in Higher Education/Institutional Research or Effectiveness departments

      • Experience with data collection and analytics software and tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Tableau, etc.)

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies
      • Quantitative research skills
      • Strong Excel skills and Access helpful
      • Strong organizational and project management abilities
      • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional, preferably including SharePoint
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
