Amazon Turkey is looking for an experienced results-oriented professional for Supply Chain and Instock Manager who thrives on solving complex problems. In an effort to better serve our Turkish customers, you will support the development and execution of a country-level Inventory and Supply Chain strategy across multiple product categories, with the help of constantly-developing AI tools. This professional must work closely with other stakeholders to meet the challenges of a highly deadline-driven environment, and will work closely with our technology teams to merge Amazon systems with Supply Chain principles.
Successful candidates can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You should have a strong customer obsession with a self-starter spirit, ability to dive deep, strong data/analytical skills and experience working in a cross-functional team. This role will require close collaboration externally with vendors and internally with Retail Category Leaders, Finance, Technical and Operations teams.
This is an in-office position based in Istanbul.
Key job responsibilities
- Be a core part of the Instock function carrying out country level demand planning, ordering and capacity management.
- Influence Tech and Operations teams in building support and resources for projects and initiatives to automate inventory management processes.
- Act as local product manager to implement global automation & Artificial Intelligence tools in Turkey.
- Create scalable Instock systems/processes by working with Tech and Product teams, vendor operations, and vendor management.
- Track key customer experience metrics and drive improvements across them by building actionable plans.
- Work with leadership on project selection, scope, definition, and performance to ensure alignment with business strategy.
- Guide Retail business teams in their ability to develop and execute daily, weekly & monthly action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and service.
A day in the life
- Are you an experienced professional sought to streamline operations, leverage automation, and enhance customer experience? As a core member of Amazon's Instock function in Turkey, you will have a chance to drive data-driven process improvements and serve as a local product manager for global inventory management initiatives.
- As an Instock Manager, your day is filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities centered around optimizing supply chain operations and enhancing the customer experience.
- A key part of your role is collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business. You meet with vendor management, operation, product management and other retail teams to discuss implementing new automation to streamline supply chain processes.
- Data analysis is also a critical component of your day. You closely monitor customer experience metrics, then work closely with the relevant stakeholders to develop action plans for driving improvements. You also help build reporting to equip the Turkey leadership with timely, data-driven insights.
- Throughout the day, you balance urgent operational needs with longer-term strategic projects. This could involve joining global calls to contribute your local market expertise as the team develops the roadmap for supply chain automation initiatives. You also spend time responding to stakeholder inquiries and summarizing key activities to share with country leadership.
- The Instock Manager role requires a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills are essential to driving continuous improvement and delivering a best-in-class customer experience.- Experience in retail, management consulting, M&A, product management, forecasting, planning or inventory management.
- Bachelor degree required, ideally in an analytical discipline.
- Experience working in large data sets, and data-driven argumentation..
- Solid experience with Excel/spreadsheets.
- Ability to communicate in Turkish and English with external vendors and internal stakeholders.- Experience championing change and driving improvements.
- Experience managing a large group of external and internal stakeholders.
- Master's or MBA Degree.
- Experience with management consulting, internet/e-commerce company, or investment bank.
- Knowledge or experience with SQL.
