Job Title: Instructional Design Instructor (GED/ESL) - Part Time
Locations: Goodwill North Central Texas -- 4005 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, Texas
Salary: Based on Experience
Work Hours: PT (20 Hrs. per Week) Monday - Thursday, days will vary
General Job Duties: Provide instructional support to instructors, curriculum oversight, including activities that ensure that instructional materials are aligned to TWC AEL Content Standards (digital literacy and financial literacy), course syllabus development, and oversight for all class types. Conduct all activities necessary to meet and surpass all Target Performance Measures. Submit all required documentation and reports by program guidelines: SharePoint, TEAMS, and/or CaseWorthy. Conduct classroom observations regularly and provide constructive feedback to the Manager/Director. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in a timely manner. Complete 15 clock hours of professional development each program year. Attend staff meetings, and other Goodwill North Central Texas event/meetings as required. Other duties as assigned.
Safeguard company property (including donated goods) and employees. Report any incident of accident, theft, fraud, waste or unauthorized possession of company property to your manager immediately or to the Prevention of Fraud Hotline. Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, program, and/or mission.
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required), valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level (preferred). ESL certification (preferred). Working knowledge of a second language (preferred). Trained in adult learning methodology and a minimum of two years’ experience working with adults (preferred). Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with individuals from diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, staff, and community.
Physical Requirements: Office environment, mobile, ability to sit for long periods of time, and able to lift 10-15 lbs occasionally. Must have reliable transportation.
Legal Requirements: Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements, ability to pass drug screen, background check and meet staff qualifications.
