      The Role
      u2013 The Instructional Designer will play a pivotal role in supporting Northwest Center @ Amazonu2019s learning and development initiatives by designing and maintaining impactful training content across a variety of delivery formats. This position is essential to ensuring our teams have access to engaging, practical, and results-driven learning experiences that align with organizational objectives.

      In this role, you will be responsible for applying instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to develop e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, and performance support tools. You will also oversee key training operations, including logistics coordination, recordkeeping, and administrative support, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain the quality and consistency of all training assets.

      We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented learning professional who can translate learning goals into meaningful and accessible content. Your ability to balance instructional design expertise with operational execution will be critical in driving learning effectiveness and supporting workforce development across the Northwest Center @ Amazon team.

      Hours:
      u00A0Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 am u2013 6:00 pm withu00A0flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

      Starting Salary Range:u00A0$77,969 - $89,041 per year | Full Salary Range: $77,969 - $100,081 per year

      What You Will Do
      Content Development & Design
      • Develop and maintain training materials across multiple delivery formats
      • Create e-learning modules, instructor-led content, and digital resources
      • Design job aids and quick reference guides to support on-the-job performance
      • Translate complex concepts into practical, user-friendly content
      • Ensure all training materials align with learning objectives and quality standards
      • Incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
      Training Administration
      • Manage training logistics for both in-person and virtual sessions
      • Maintain accurate training records and completion data
      • Provide administrative support for the training team
      • Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule training sessions and manage resources
      Stakeholder Collaboration
      • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather and validate content
      • Collaborate with program managers to ensure training meets business needs
      • Partner with the Sr. Learning Designer on curriculum strategy and development
      • Engage with learners to gather feedback and improve training effectiveness
      Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
      • Conduct regular reviews of training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance
      • Implement quality control measures for all training content
      • Analyze training effectiveness data to identify areas for improvement
      • Propose and implement enhancements to existing training programs
      • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in learning and development
      Who You Are
      • Bacheloru2019s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; relevant work experience also considered
      • Professional certifications in learning design or e-learning development preferred
      • 3+ years of experience in instructional design or training development
      • Proven success in creating both e-learning and instructor-led training materials
      • Experience with learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
      • Strong background in training administration and logistics management
      • Expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning theories
      • Proficient in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
      • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
      • Creative mindset in developing engaging and impactful learning experiences
      • Collaborative team player with experience working with diverse stakeholders
      • Strong analytical skills to assess training outcomes and suggest improvements

      • Ability to frequently carry and lift a backpack containing a laptop and other supplies, up to 50 pounds.
      • Capacity to move within a 1.5-mile radius, including walking between various Amazon buildings.
      • Ability to stand and/or sit at a computer workstation for up to 8 hours per workday.
      • Fine motor skills to operate computer equipment and other office machinery.
      • Vision: Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses).
      • Hearing: Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).
      • Primary work setting is a combination of office environment and actively visiting several Amazon buildings
      • Dog-friendly environment with over 1,000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs should consider this aspect of the work environment
      • May occasionally require arriving early, staying late on short notice, or working evening and weekend shifts
      • Local travel between Amazon buildings is required
      • Potential for occasional business travel
