Instructional Designer
REMOTE
Annual Compensation : $91,000 to $95,000
As a member of the LMS team, the Instructional Designer partners with business units throughout the organization to design, develop, and test online learning content in support of existing and newly identified learning needs and opportunities. Manages and prioritizes multiple requests, and applies an analytical and methodical approach to work that demonstrates problem-solving skills, attention to detail and strong focus on quality assurance. Applies adult learning and instructional design best practices to learning content. Builds relationships with business leaders, functional leaders, and field employees to understand training needs and meet content development goals and timelines. Provides support for Learning Management System (LMS) administration
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Partner with business units throughout the organization to design, develop, and test online learning courses and learning evaluations.
· Collaborate and effectively communicate with internal customers to understand training design and development needs.
· Develop courses using e-learning authoring software and/or other instructional technologies.
· Design and execute best-practice training methodologies.
· Test eLearning courses to confirm accuracy of content and functionality.
· Ensure timeliness of training materials by effectively managing and prioritizing multiple requests.
· Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business unit/functional leads to ensure that content, format, and delivery modalities meet goals.
· Recommend training design and content evaluation strategies to the business units to increase the effectiveness and engagement of training.
· Evaluate all training content requested to ensure it meets the established content request standards, especially copyright considerations.
· Manage the content publishing process with an external vendor.
· Provide support for LMS administration, which may include entering course rosters, assigning courses, creating reports and assisting with Help desk tickets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
· Bachelor’s degree in an education, business, or healthcare-related field.
Experience:
· At least 3 years of experience in training design and development or graphic design
· Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing time-sensitive needs or requests
· Proficiency with instructional/media technology applications such as eLearning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems required.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Ability to create products with extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
· Articulate 360 experience required
· Applied knowledge of course design, training development, and adult learning theories
· Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at once
· Project management skills and the ability to multi-task and continually prioritize tasks and deliverables
· Demonstrated focus on quality in training delivery
· Works effectively in team environments to consistently meet established deadlines
· Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
· Web page design (HTML, CSS or Java etc)
