      Do you have experience with planning out course loads and working with LMS systems? BJC is looking for an Instructional designer!

      Ideal candidates will have an academic background.

      Monday - Friday, onsite position with occasional opportunities to work remotely.

      With a legacy beginning in 1902, Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College has a strong tradition of educating health care professionals.

      Goldfarb School of Nursing is located on the Washington University Medical Campus in St. Louis and is affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, with a second site at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Goldfarb is a private nursing college that enrolls over 650 students in its baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degree programs. Goldfarb has nationally recognized educational facilities with state-of-the-art classrooms, lecture halls and sophisticated Clinical Simulation Institute labs with patient simulation manikins and exam rooms that provide high-tech, advanced nursing care experiences.

      Preferred Qualifications

      Role Purpose

      The Instructional Designer partners with Faculty to design course content and structure to best support student learning objectives and research proven methods. By using best practices and continues research, the Instructional Designer is a leader to optimize learning content and structure in support of school and student goals.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts in the design of course structure and content, both refinement of existing courses and creation of new courses.
      • Applies established standards and/or benchmarks in the design or layout of course content.
      • Align course structure and content to support student learning objectives.
      • Research and evaluate new strategies, technology, or methods into course design.
      • Partner with Academic Technology team to optimize best practices with LMS systems to support course structure and learning objectives.

      Minimum Requirements

      Education

      • Bachelor's Degree

      Experience

      • 2-5 years

      Preferred Requirements
