      Your role at Sephora:

      Reporting to the Instructional Design Manager, the Instructional Designer is responsible for creating innovative and engaging leadership development and foundational skill-building experiences to support employees at our corporate Field Service Center (FSC). This includes working collaboratively with SMEs and the Learning & Development (L&D) partners to design learning content utilizing adult learning principles and sound instructional design methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of creative instructional design skills and technical knowledge and is passionate about building best in class learning and implementing new technologies, in a fun and fast-paced environment.

      In this role, you will also:

      • Establish critical partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, to identify needs and to design the scalable learning solutions and initiatives that drive behavioral change within the organization
      • Lead learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development, implementation and success measurement
      • Conduct thorough needs analysis to ensure learning content and programs align with company strategy, business goals, and leadership concepts and represent internal culture and values
      • Determine the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business and performance outcomes (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, blended learning, facilitator and participant guides, reference materials, assessment tools, etc.)
      • Define and execute quality assurance processes to drive knowledge retention and skill application
      • Serve as subject matter expert in development trends, training tools and platforms while continuously exploring new and innovative approaches
      • Work individually and collaboratively to meet deadlines and expectations set for learning solutions
      • Create custom graphics and animations as needed to elevate the learning experience and ensure learning content adheres to audio/visual technical specifications for mobile and desktop
      • Facilitate instructor-led events and train-the-trainer sessions, as needed.
      • Manage contractors to support curriculum development, as needed

      • Occasional travel may be required

      We’re excited about you if you have:

      • 4 - 5 years instructional design experience focused on instructor-led, digital (i.e. eLearning, webinars, interactive pdfs, etc.) and blended learning, experience in curriculum development in corporate environments preferred.
      • Demonstrated expertise in effective Instructional Design methodologies to drive Learning & Development initiatives
      • Portfolio of work demonstrates professional-level ability in line with experience
      • Proficiency with various eLearning tools (Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc.), Responsive Design, Audio editing program (i.e. Audacity), and Learning Management Systems (i.e. BigTinCan)
      • Intermediate to advanced skill in Adobe Create Cloud, Microsoft Office, HTML5 and CSS and strong knowledge of effective Instructional Design, using either ADDIE or SAM methodology
      • Experience with graphic design, video, micro-learning, gamification, simulations, animation/motion graphics preferred
      • Ability to manage competing priorities, work on simultaneous projects and flex and adjust in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
      • Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage up and partner with various levels in the organization
      • Strategic thinking and implementation of ideas, solutions, projects and high-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks #LI-AZ1

      The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $118,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
