  This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional design support to OptumHealth operations teams through the design and development of instructor-led and self-paced learning solutions
  • Consult and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within operations as well as peers across the Optum Enterprise Training (OET) team
  • Work across the full spectrum of training support – new development, management of existing content as well as scheduled and ad-hoc communications – to increase the performance of our operations partners

  Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree / GED (or higher) or High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years working in a professional position and/or office/remote environment
  • 2+ years working within an Instructional Design role
  • 2+ years using Microsoft Office applications to develop learning content
  • Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

  Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working within a corporate environment
  • Experience working within the Healthcare industry
  • Experience performing project management tasks (training focus)
  • Experience using Articulate 360, Camtasia, Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint to develop learning solutions
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems
  • Knowledge of and experience using basic visual design principles

  Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

  Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, time management, and prioritization skills

  California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New Jersey / New York / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $56,300 - $110,400.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
