      About the role

      We’re looking for an Instructional Designer to join our growing Learning & Development team!

      As an Instructional Designer, your work will have a big impact on the achievement of our company goals. People will count on you to be an energetic and creative individual who can design and develop various eLearning and instructor-led courses in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.

      You are a dependable partner who can successfully apply instructional design best practices to complete deliverables in a timely manner. You are open and collaborative to become a part of a growing team. We are continually looking to improve existing internal processes and implement new ones – and you look forward to adding your voice, experience, and unique perspective.

      This is a full-time permanent position and can be based in any one of our Intact offices across Canada (excluding Quebec). We operate in a hybrid model, meaning you’ll be in the office a minimum of two days per week and have the flexibility to work remotely (if you choose) for the remainder of the week.

      What you’ll do here:

      • Implement instructional design and adult learning theory to further knowledge transfer across the organization
      • Consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts to curate content and create learning solutions
      • Work collaboratively with other team members to develop strong, innovative, and technology-enhanced courses and programs
      • Maintain results and be able to collaborate to ensure outcomes are on track to meet business needs

      What you bring to the table:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related subject, or equivalent work experience
      • Minimum two years of instructional design experience
      • Comprehensive knowledge of adult education and instructional theories
      • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Articulate 360
      • Experience with Vyond or other video creation tools (experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred)
      • Ability to develop entry-level and advanced-level courses for a variety of audiences
      • Strong interpersonal communication skills
      • Excellent organizational and planning skills
      • Strong collaboration skills

      Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

      $59,000.00 - $88,400.00
