- Physical - if applicable (less than 1 year old) The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a full time Instructional Specialist (Gifted) at multiple buildings for the 2025-2026 school year. The Instructional Specialist (Gifted) is responsible for identifying gifted students and delivering specialized education within an enrichment program designed for their advanced needs. Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics and needs of elementary gifted students and demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with regular education teachers. Responsibilities also include coordinating, writing, and executing Gifted Individualized Education Plans (GIEPs).

An active Elementary Education K-6, PK-4, or Grades 4-8 Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required. Candidates who possess a Gifted Endorsement are preferred. Prior experience with gifted students is also preferred. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of elementary school-aged children and good communication skills. Must understand and be able to teach the approved curriculum. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.
