      The NISC IV group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Instructional Systems Designer to work in our Oklahoma City, OK office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the FAA Academy group develop training curriculum as well as engaging interactive learning content.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Create and develop engaging and interactive e-learning content, including courses, quizzes, videos, simulations, and other multimedia elements.
      • Design the structure and flow of training courses to ensure a logical and effective learning experience.
      • Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to plan and develop comprehensive training curriculums aligned with organizational objectives.
      • Define clear learning objectives for each training module to outline what learners should achieve upon completion.
      • Develop assessments and quizzes to measure learners' understanding and evaluate the effectiveness of the training.
      • Incorporate interactive elements, case studies, and scenarios to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
      • Ensure that the visual design of the training content is appealing, user-friendly, and consistent with the organization's branding.
      • Integrate various types of content (e.g., videos, PDFs, SCORM packages) into the LMS platform for seamless delivery.
      • Support the LMS platform by integrating and testing content, ensuring compliance with section 508, and marking completions.
      • Assist learners with technical issues related to accessing and navigating the LMS and its content.
      • Ensure training content aligns with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and internal policies. Collaborate with internal and external training providers or subject matter experts to deliver specialized training when needed,
      • Utilize Articulate Storyline to design and develop interactive e-learning courses and modules with features such as branching scenarios, drag-and-drop interactions, quizzes, and assessments.
      • Incorporate multimedia elements, such as audio, video, animations, and images, to enhance the visual appeal and interactivity of the training content.
      • Leverage Articulate Storyline's responsive design capabilities to ensure that the training content adapts and displays appropriately on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
      • Able to use Articulate Storyline's advanced interactivity features, such as triggers and variables, to create complex interactions and simulations to reinforce learning.
      • Ensure that the e-learning courses developed in Articulate Storyline are compatible with the SCORM and Tin Can API standards, allowing seamless integration with the LMS platform.
      • Leverage Articulate Storyline's user-friendly interface and pre-built templates to speed up the course development process, allowing for quicker content updates and iterations.
      • Design content modules in Articulate Storyline that can be easily reused and repurposed across different courses, optimizing content development efforts.
      • Utilize Articulate Storyline's built-in tracking and reporting features to collect learner data and monitor their progress, performance, and completion rates.
      • Create realistic simulations and scenarios using Articulate Storyline to provide hands-on practice and skill-building opportunities for learners.
      • Incorporate gamification elements, such as badges, leaderboards, and rewards, to enhance learner engagement and motivation.
      • Ensure that e-learning courses developed in Articulate Storyline are accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities, by following web accessibility standards.
      • Implement version control for Articulate Storyline projects to manage multiple iterations and maintain an organized development process.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of working experience. In lieu of degree program, Leidos will accept additional years of experience.
      • Previous working experience as an Instructional Systems Designer
      • Previous working experience with Articulate.
      • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability

      (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks).

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Previous FAA Academy experience.

      Pay Range:

      Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00

      The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
