Job Description
- Req#: 1907
- Notate blocking for scenes and dance numbers.
- Set, re-teach, and clean dance numbers and scenes.
- Keep track of performers that were absent and need to be put into scenes and dance numbers.
- Run rehearsal when director is absent.
- At tech & performances, assist with the run of the show.
- Reset props and sets in between performances.
- Create prop lists.
- Keep track of where props need to be set throughout the production.
- Keep students on task in rehearsals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Bachelors Degree in the Arts, Education or related field.
- Experience directing and/or choreographing for children is required.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a high-profile theater or creative arts organization.
- A demonstrable passion for musical theater education combined with at least 2 years of related teaching experience.
Job Summary
92NY Musical Theater is seeking strong musical theater instructors for our Weekend (Saturday & Sunday 10-1pm) Fall & Spring Musical Theater Workshop Classes.
This role is required to attend all auditions, rehearsals, and performances of the production they are assigned to. Each production rehearses once a week, instructors may be assigned to multiple productions throughout the season.

Hours are flexible with a 3-6 hour/minimum commitment.
Especially seeking instructors with availability for weekend morning teaching:
Saturday and/or Sunday 10-1pm.
Classes began September 11, 2023, with final performances late Jan 2024.

Per Diem Compensation Range
$35 - $75/hour
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
