We are looking for part-time evening (Tuesday/Thursday 6pm-9pm, 8.3 hours/week including prep) and part-time Saturday instructors (Saturday 9:30am to 2:00pm, 8.3 hours/week including prep) to begin in January 2024. We are also looking for casual instructors for subbing and to fill positions that open throughout the term in our full-time program. - Provide language, settlement, and essential skills training to assist newcomers in transitioning to life, employment, or further education.
- Design, develop, and share resources appropriate for online and in-person teaching and learning.
- Actively support college, faculty, and IRCC and program priorities.
- Degree in TESL; additional Ed Tech and/or Information Technology expertise would be a strong asset.
- If your education was received internationally we recommend you obtain an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations.
- Training, experience, and expertise in online teaching and learning, with particular focus on e-standards; Moodle related experience would be an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with e-learning development apps such as H5P would be an asset.
- Strong and active commitment to college, faculty, and IRCC and program priorities.
- PBLA lead certification an asset.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently work within a team as well as independently.
- Passion for and commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- On campus presence required.

LINC INSTRUCTORS
FACULTY OF SKILLS AND FOUNDATIONAL LEARNING
NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for instructors dedicated to finding ways forward to join our Faculty of Skills & Foundational Learning as a LINC Instructor. At NorQuest College, the LINC program fulfills the “we’ll meet you where you’re at” commitment to students by offering a wide variety of programming and scheduling options as well as delivery modes that meet the varied needs of our diverse student population.
The program offers a variety of language, settlement, and essential skills training and support services in a range of modalities to help students develop language proficiency, settlement knowledge, and essential skills. Numerous Work Integrated Learning activities provide additional learning opportunities while allowing students to make a meaningful contribution to the community and preparing them for further education or employment.The program offers a wide variety of CLB 0 to CLB 8 courses including a small, part time LINC ASL class for newcomers who are deaf, and numerous innovative employment focused options such as LINC Works, LINC Prep for Childcare Work, and other employment focused or classes with the Community Service Learning components and/or work placement opportunities. Several other employment supports are available including employment certificate training (e.g. Construction Safety Training Systems, First Aid/CPR, Food Safety, Basic Electrical Safety Training, WHMIS, Effective Communication, Exceptional Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, Basic Security Guard Training, OSSA Common Safety Orientation, Proserve, OSSA Fall Protection, and Forklift Operator training) or skill building workshops (e.g. Math Basics, Multiple Choice Questions, WHMIS, Food Safety) while Digital Literacy, WebSafe, and other courses in addition to an extensive repertoire of LINC Works resources further help students develop basic computer skills and study safely and successfully in online environments in addition to helping them develop workforce relevant skills.

SALARY: Reflective upon what you bring, AKA your education and experience. This is a casual position with an additional 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
This is a Faculty role, and the pay range is quite large, check out the Faculty Collective Agreement Appendix A to better understand how pay is determined.
