What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and market complex programs for nuclear power projects related to design, operational excellence, safety, maintenance, and project management
- Direct technical decision-making in a project team environment, collaborating with engineers and designers on power plant control systems
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve a variety of instrumentation and controls engineering issues
- Coordinate systems design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements
- Prepare and review detailed calculations and documentation for design input and equipment purchase specifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A BS or MS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
- 20 or more years of experience in design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems in heavy industrial plants
- Technically knowledgeable about available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for executing systems design
- Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
- Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- PE license
- Broad background in providing technical support to nuclear plant projects, including design engineering and project oversight
