- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
- Participate and complete the LNG Canada Graduate program in a timely manner
- In your final year of studies or recently graduated with 3 or less years of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to achieve the Professional Engineering accreditation or Professional Licensee in the Province of British Columbia in a timely manner as per the role above.
- Must relocate and Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace). For applicants located outside of the region, you are encouraged to explore what Kitimat has to offer in terms of lifestyle including schooling, local amenities, outdoor adventure, and housing, to ensure Kitimat is where you would like to call your new home.
- Depending on the activity, have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions; this can include rain, hot weather, cool, or dusty days. There may be times that climbing industrial stairs on site is needed.
- Complete a clear Site Access Alcohol & Drug Test
- Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Have a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license is considered an asset

About the Role
LNG Canada is currently looking to develop new engineers to prepare them to operate our new LNG facility in Kitimat.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain hands on working experience on the largest private infrastructure project in Canada and be at the beginning of its operations! LNG Canada has a strong learning and development culture to support your personal and professional growth including mentorship with industry professionals. This role provides a unique opportunity to tap into the vast knowledge and training networks of the Joint Venture Companies (Shell, Petronas, PetroChina, Mitsubishi Corporation and KOGAS).
LNG Canada’s New Graduate program provides general foundational competencies as well as those specific to the role disciplines to complete. Our goal is to ensure that you can meet the requirements to receive an EGBC Professional Engineering Designation or EGBC Professional Licensee Designation.
As a new Graduate, either as Engineer in Training or Technologist, you would be working in one of the following teams, depending on your discipline:

E&I Team (Disciplines: Instrumentation, Automation & Control, Electrical or Chemical)
QMI (Quality measurement Instrumentation) Engineer in Training (EIT) role is to learn & provide Engineering support for the Instrumentation & Quality Measurement as part of the LNG Canada Operations Maintenance and Engineering Technical team.
This position will become the barrier owner for QMI system including ensuring the performance of all safety critical elements meet the performance standards.

Operations Technology (OT) Systems & Cybersecurity (Disciplines: Instrumentation, Automation & Control or Electrical)
This Engineer in Training (EIT) role is to learn & provide Engineering support to the OT Systems & Cybersecurity team, as part of the LNG Canada Technology team.
The Technology support team is responsible for ensuring all physical Plant and equipment is reliable, compliant, well maintained, and safe.
Will be part of the team supporting production and manage LNG Canada processes and reliability improvement programs of the plant and equipment.
This position will play a support role for OT Systems & Cybersecurity systems including safety instrumented systems (SIS), ensuring the performance of all safety critical elements meets the SIS performance standards.
