- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of insurance agents.
- Lead, manage and execute the delivery of Point of Sale, Corporate Insurance Manager and Senior Manager National Accounts and Sales Operations as a team to develop joint marketing centric approaches to maximize revenue
- Market, service, or promote DTIA business opportunities and engage in business development activities
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that emphasizes teamwork and individual growth and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure the team meets and exceeds sales targets.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the insurance agency, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.
- Implement and improve processes to enhance operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the agency's performance and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance business.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Property and Casualty Insurance License
- Proven track record of strategically producing revenue results
- 8+ years of experience in B2B commercial insurance sales, business development, or business management
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, with a track record of success in a managerial or leadership role with direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology for insurance management.
- Masters Degree in Finance, Management, Business or related field.
- Professional designations (CPCU) a plus
- Membership in Insurance industry organizations
- Experience with Risk Management Insurance Services (RMIS) database
- Automotive Industry knowledge.

Inside the Role
The Insurance Manager acts as a strategic leader of the Daimler Truck Insurance Agency to lead, manage and grow the existing and future business. In this key management role, the leader will be responsible for meeting and exceeding the profit goals and market share targets of existing and potential clients, providing solutions to our customers and dealers.
This role is responsible for leading the team generating opportunities and focusing on increasing company revenue through new business, retention, and relationship development, with focus on regional and national account business and dealer corporate opportunities, including property, casualty, commercial auto liability, business interruption, cyber and related products. You will lead the research and analytics of the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and business models. You will assist financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities and collaborate with Daimler Truck Financial marketing, sales, product development, and other key stakeholders to support business development plans, specific to building out our commercial insurance portfolio.
This position will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and will be expected to develop reports and plans, analyze risk/insurance problems, make recommendations to senior level management, and oversee the managing and implementation of the appropriate risk solutions. This is a key sales management and operational leader position and the goals and results will be measured frequently as a benchmark for success. The Insurance Manager will be responsible for the timely and proper execution of insurance products and programs.There are several key initiatives that the Insurance Manager will be responsible for including:
• The National Accounts and Regional teams are solving our customer’s problems and offering unique insurance solutions to be a value adding partner for our customers.
• Corporate Sales will focus on products that help safeguard our dealer and customer business.
• Our Point of Sale Products which offer solutions thru collaboration with our dealer team’s F & I departments.
• Our dealer insurance floorplan program.
• Managing Exclusivity, Data and the Management of the Data and access to our dealers and customers
