What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage accounts receivable for Ambulatory Surgical Centers, ensuring timely follow-up on accounts
- Write and initiate appeals for denied insurance claims, maintaining thorough documentation
- Interact with insurance representatives to resolve issues and facilitate payments
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills in daily tasks
- Understand and apply knowledge of managed care contracts and the insurance collection process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare insurance collections and medical billing
- Proficient in writing appeals and following up on insurance denials
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-employees, management, patients, and outside contacts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with non-participating providers and knowledge of managed care contracts
- Familiarity with Windows-driven software and medical billing guidelines
- Strong problem-solving abilities related to insurance collection processes
