- Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region’s Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.
- This position is responsible for managing patient benefit coverage and pre-authorizations.
- Serves as a patient advocate responsible for verifying patient demographics, insurance benefit verification, and notification.
- Obtains pre-authorizations for required patients by working with the providers and insurance entities.
- Will serve as a liaison between the patient and the insurance company and communicate with the patient to inform them of coverage and out-of-pocket expenses.
- Exemplifies the attitude of care and compassion through customer service, Professional appearance, and actions.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous hospital and/or clinic experience and medical background.
- 1 year of experience and knowledge of insurance pre-authorization and benefits.
- General filing, billing, and business office organization experience.
