What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Work accounts receivable and follow up on denials
- Write appeals and research denials from Insurance Carriers
- Register patients and verify insurance coverage
- Interact with insurance representatives and handle insurance collection process
- Enter patient information into the system and advise patients of financial responsibility
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical billing, insurance guidelines, and appeals process
- Healthcare Insurance Collecting experience
- Proficiency in Windows-driven software and computers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and external contacts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or insurance verification
- Experience working with managed care contracts and non-participating providers
