What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a liaison to the American Kidney Fund's Health Insurance Premium Program (HIPP) by managing health insurance grants for eligible patients
- Review and process grant requests for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely payments to avoid policy terminations
- Maintain and distribute reports regarding grant statuses and patient communications
- Assist with the Indigent Waiver program by reviewing applications and documenting their statuses
- Collaborate with various teams and departments to support patient needs and resolve issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- 1-2 years of related experience in healthcare or insurance
- Knowledge of various insurance types and the dialysis industry is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with grant management systems or similar software
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in patient services or healthcare administration
