What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor delinquent accounts and perform collection duties to ensure timely payments
- Review reports, investigate, and resolve billing issues
- Ensure accuracy of payment postings and maintain current account balances
- Contact patients to secure past due balances and verify insurance information
- Answer questions related to patient payments, billing, and insurance, while resolving any complaints
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years of combined medical billing and payment experience required
- Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
- Understanding of state and federal collections guidelines
- Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in an oncology or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records systems
