What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the intake of new patient referrals at the Appointment Center
- Provide customer service to community physicians referring patients to the hospital
- Process calls related to physician referral call center
- Gather missing documentation for complete referral processing
- Liaise between referring primary care providers, patients, and families to complete referrals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience managing referrals and registration in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge and experience in a hospital environment
- Fast and accurate typing skills with minimal errors
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of medical terminology coursework preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Direct call center experience
- Training in scanning procedures
- Experience with high volume of incoming calls
