What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support for the intake of all new patient referrals and manage call processing for the physician referral call center
- Serve as a liaison to referring primary care providers and families to gather necessary documentation for referrals
- Maintain medical record integrity by reviewing and updating patient records while ensuring confidentiality
- Organize and maintain a worklist to track progress on referral tasks
- Answer and screen incoming calls, providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and providers

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a healthcare setting managing patient referrals and registration
- Knowledge and experience in a hospital environment
- Proficient in fast and accurate typing with minimal errors
- Excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of medical terminology coursework preferred

- Direct call center experience
- Training in medical scanning procedures
- Ability to handle high volumes of incoming calls daily
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Adaptability to work independently and as part of a team
