  Intake Operator

  Arla Foods, Settle Creamery, BD24 9AE

  Introduction

  As an Intake Operator at our Settle Creamery, you will be the first point of contact at site for all milk deliveries and will ensure that these deliveries are process correctly and efficiently. Paying particular attention to health and safety, you will analyse and evaluate products and materials to ensure that quality and approved analysis standards are met.

  So what do our Intake Operators actually do?

  As an Intake Operator, you will be integral to site operations, greeting milk tankers to site and ensuring that the deliveries are processed in a timely manner. You will conduct tests to analyse products and materials, Interpret results of analyses and escalating non-conformance issues as required.

  You will them communication theses results to relevant departments as well as ensuring that instrumentation is functioning and that calibrated and verified methods are used

  You will also be responsible for the site milk booking in systems and ensure efficient management of milk with the Process Team.

  What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

  • An attention to detail to ensure all recording is 100% accurate
  • The ability work independently
  • The ability to communicate effectively with external and internal teams
  • If you have manufacturing/ food manufacturing experience, that’s great. If not, we can coach you.
