Job Description
- Req#: 191730
- Completes comprehensive assessments with parents/guardians and children focusing on medial, social, educational, and development of adults and children
- Interviews children and adults to determine level of trauma, past and present
- Creates report and initial case planning based upon results of assessments and interviews
- Travels to the home(s) of parents/guardians to complete the assessment(s)
- Works directly with Case Manager and Supervisor to develop integrated assessment.
- Provide field support to enhance the transfer of learning from the classroom to field operations.
- Develop training processes and support in alliance with DCFS policy and procedures. (ex. Child and family team meeting, Service planning, court referrals, flex funding etc.)
- Provide individual and team trainings for intact program.
- Complete all Caritas Family Solutions and DCFS paperwork and comply with program expectations as related to position.

This position supports the Intact Program by completing Integrated Assessments with referred families to identify level of trauma and service needs. This position will also provide direct training support to intact staff to ensure program needs are being met along with DCFS policy/procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field ,CWEL certified with intact specialty, 3 years’ experience in intact family services.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to conduct interviews in diverse environments. Ability to complete assessments and reports. Ability to write notes and significant event reports that conform to prescribed style and format and within expected timeframes. Must be able to read, write, and speak in standard English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts of finite mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must be able to use Microsoft office and data entry into database.

Must be able to meet all physical requirements to attend and successfully maintain TCI Training certification which includes refresher training. Must be able to initiate, supervise and/or assist in manual restraint and seclusion of clients. Must be able to successfully demonstrate de-escalation techniques introduced in training.
