      Location: Rhode Island | Full-time | $125,000 - $165,000

      Make a Meaningful Difference in Patient Lives

      At East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), we're looking for a compassionate provider to join our integrated healthcare team. In this role, you'll help patients safely transition from high-risk medications while improving their quality of life through evidence-based approaches.

      What You'll Do

      Lead Patient-Centered Care:

      • Partner with our primary care team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
      • Guide patients through medication transitions with dignity and support
      • Apply evidence-based approaches to manage pain, anxiety, insomnia, and substance use disorders
      • Prescribe and manage medications for opioid use disorder when appropriate

      Collaborate Across Disciplines:

      • Work alongside primary care providers, behavioral health therapists, psychiatrists, and community health workers
      • Participate in case consultations and contribute your expertise to complex cases
      • Help shape our approach to integrated pain management and addiction services

      Grow Professionally:

      • Access continuing education opportunities in addiction medicine and pain management
      • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives
      • Participate in grant-funded projects that expand our impact

      What You'll Bring

      Required Qualifications:

      • MD, DO, PA, or Advanced Practice Nursing degree with Rhode Island licensure
      • DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances
      • Clinical experience in primary care, addiction medicine, or pain management
      • Knowledge of deprescribing principles and medication tapering approaches
      • Commitment to patient-centered, culturally responsive care

      Ideal Background:

      • Experience with buprenorphine prescribing
      • Training in motivational interviewing or cognitive behavioral approaches
      • Previous work in community health or with underserved populations
      • Addiction medicine certification or specialized training
