The Border Watch program collects, triages, assesses and refers border related allegations to risk owners across the Department and ABF
-
The Character Intelligence section conducts intelligence analysis focused on people who present a threat to Australia's migration system
-
The Compliance, Liaison and Engagement section works with partners to manage complex and sensitive cases on migration, traveller and customs matters
-
Immigration Compliance and Enforcement Intelligence section delivers, integrated, direct intelligence support to the ABF and the Australian Taxation Office
-
Operation AEGIS Intelligence supports joint ABF and Australian Federal Police operations in response to the recent High Court judgement on immigration detention.
- Demonstrated experience as an intelligence analyst and mentoring intelligence staff in an intelligence environment

Problem-solving in the border continuum intelligence environment

Intelligence analysis using structured techniques including well-developed statistical, research and structured analytical methods

Use of analytical tools to visually depict border intelligence analysis and issues

Formal and informal intelligence briefings and presentations

Concise and accurate written intelligence products

Negotiate and influence border intelligence issues

Stakeholder and client identification, engagement and management to ensure intelligence activity meets the requirements of customers, and considers the input of relevant subject matter experts

Supervision, mentoring and coaching in an intelligence environment

Use of relevant IT and electronic/database systems to analyse and store data.
- The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitabilty (ESC) instead of obtaining PV clearance. Some positions require a PV but not all.
