      Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a Temporary to Permanent Contracts Attorney or Paralegal

      Overview: Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Contracts Attorney or Paralegal to assist a Financing/ Lending Company.

      Company: Specialty Risk Financing Provider.

      Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience with a law firm or In-House, handling Commercial Contracts and Compliance tasks as an Attorney or Paralegal

      Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 days per week in office)

      Responsibilities Include:

      • Contract review, including, NDAs, vendor agreements, note and indemnity agreements
      • Ongoing monitoring of existing book of business through the preparation of bank submissions, review of various bank requirements, preparation of client renewals, and ongoing monitoring of the business portfolio
      • Provide support for Compliance and operations monitoring, including reviewing and ensuring compliance with various reporting obligations
      • Support Implementation and monitoring of compliance and operational processes and procedures
      • Provide support to help optimize efficiency of the legal, compliance and operations teams
      • Monitor company activities to ensure compliance with systems and processes
      • Review and continually monitor existing policies and help identify potential improvements
      • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
      • Support members of the executive team in day-to-day servicing client accounts, including direct contact with clients
      • Develop strong relationships & trust with clients, producers, and fellow employees

      Qualifications Required
      • JD preferred and at least 3-5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing Commercial Contracts, NDA’s and other agreement. Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is a plus.
      • Strong team collaboration
      • Attention to detail and ability to create and manage business monitoring systems
      • Ability to consistently process transactions accurately
      • Ability to comprehend complex business and legal documents
      • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
      • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in team environments as necessary
      • Experience in a lending environment
