      The following position is available for the 2025-2026 school year.

      LOCATION: Gratiot-Isabella Technical Education Center – Mt. Pleasant Campus
      REPORTS TO: GI-TEC Director
      FTE GRADE/DEPT
      1.0 Interior Design Instructor (19.0605 Career Technical Education)
      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      ? Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching certificate with appropriate CTE Teaching
      Endorsement to teach state approved Interior Design program OR…..
      ? Recent and relevant work experience (requires a minimum of 4000 hours) and be
      willing to obtain annual authorization to teach a state approved Interior Design
      program.
      ? Relevant industry experience includes, but not limited to: Interior Design,
      Architectural Design, Client Services, Project Management, Interior Painting,
      Material Installation, 3D Modeling or other industries using interior design
      concepts.
      ? Knowledge of CAD software programs such as: AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
      ? Oversee design and installation of interior design materials at the School House
      Project.
      ? Has undergone a physical examination, by a licensed physician, that documents
      capability to perform required duties.
      ? Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check.
      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
      ? Provide career and technical education (CTE) program instruction, management
      and curriculum development
      ? Provide instruction and assessments to high school age students in all phases of
      an educational classroom and lab setting (the School House Project).
      ? Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of
      all high school age students
      ? Facilitate a classroom environment that fosters the learning of all students.
      ? Plan a program of study that incorporates project based learning
      ? Maintains a current advisory committee involved in business and industry
      ? Provides students with Work Based Learning (WBL) opportunities through
      partnerships and collaboration with business and industry
      ? Demonstrate leadership involvement with Career and Technical Student
      Organizations (CTSO)
      ? Maintain accurate, complete, correct records, and program documentation as
      required by law, district policy and CTE compliance.
      ? Provide high quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's
      educational vision and mission
      ? Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student
      achievement.

      ? Utilize educational technology to support student’s instruction and learning.
      ? Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers,
      parents and community
      ? Follow all MPPS School Board policies, the MI Code of Educational Ethics and
      GI-TEC guidelines.
      COMPENSATION: Salary and benefits as outlined in the

      Agreement between the Mt. Pleasant Education Association and
      the Mt.
      Pleasant Board of Education.
