Manage the on-site project Design Center, including making revisions to existing selections as required, displays and organization of materials and control samples, finish selection book.
Serve as the primary contact and buyer liaison for all Developer Product sales and semi-custom sales as assigned. Manage and participate in all buyer finish selection meetings, capturing the finish selections and requests for changes or revisions. Coordinate these with the Interior Design and Architectural consultant teams, lead the quality control and integration into the drawing sets.
Provide oversight and management of the design process for developer product and semi-custom developer product, including buyer communication, schedule management, cost and process control, and coordination with all other related departments (design, development, construction)
Cooperate with Sales to meet with prospects, articulate the finish selections and the process, and discuss finish selection and architectural design options.
Meet with existing and prospective vendors to collect design specifications, evaluate products and make recommendations to the development and construction teams.
Coordinate external consultants and provide leadership and oversight of design process (schedules, cost, deliverables, etc.) including but not limited to: Design Architect, AOR, Landscape Architect, MEP Engineers, Lighting Designer, AV Low Voltage, Interior Designer, Acoustician, Visualization/Renderer, Permitting Consultant
Coordinate and provide leadership on project and buyer FF&E packages, including presenting costs, managing buyout and schedule, supervising installation, and performing site walks and creating punch lists.
Participate in development construction projects and provide Construction Administration services on behalf of the developer, reviewing shop-drawings, control samples, mockups, answering RFI’s, and performing other work associated with the administrative control of assigned projects, in conjunction with the construction project manager.
Coordinate with buyer’s consultant(s) and owner’s representatives.
Communicate permissible revisions and associated costs with Buyer.
Bachelor’s degree in field applicable to position and/or applicable work experience.
Procore Certification (may be obtained upon employment).
Licensure/registration as an architect or interior designer, preferred.
Minimum 6+ years of experience applicable to position in architecture or interior design.
Experience working in a high-end residential or hospitality environment.
Strong preference to candidates with luxury residential construction experience; commercial experience and process management also preferred. Similar or equivalent experience applicable, such as luxury hospitality.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a professional environment at different levels.
Ability to assemble and make presentations to a diverse audience.
Interior design knowledge.
Computer literacy; type minimum 50 wpm.
Competency with Word, Excel, Publisher, Project, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, Adobe Design (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Smartsheets, AutoCAD, and Revit a plus.
Ability to work with a diverse staff.
Ability to listen to and respond to specific requests.
Ability to meet one-on-one or in small groups to provide ongoing training and skill competency assessments.
Must be familiar with the phases of construction, especially residential.
Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Ability to listen and respond to multiple players, providing feedback and recommendations as required to meet project needs most effectively.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
