      The primary responsibility of this position is to perform as part of a design team. This position takes direction from the Director of Design and works independently and collaboratively to complete design projects within the Construction, Design & Development Team. Projects will consist of conceptual design through installation including, but not limited to: selection of interior finishes and furnishings, documenting specifications, obtaining quotes, and the development of technical design including floor plans, elevations, finish plans, electrical plans, and tagged furnishing plans. You will develop and maintain FF&E budgets; and work with purchasing to ensure products are delivered to meet project schedules – including reselections if necessary. Assemble presentation boards and presentation materials and concepts as needed. The accomplishment of these duties will be performed in conjunction with a team concept and environment.


      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

      • Executes project work and revises priorities as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements in a fast paced environment; with and without supervision.
      • Develops and implements creative designs with a focus on destination design and varied themes appropriate for different resort locations and project needs.
      • Support the design team in the development of conceptual programming, creation of presentation materials, finish and material selection and specifications, and furniture selection and specification.

      • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Develop and maintain FF&E budgets, assemble presentation boards and materials; and establish relationships with manufacturer’s representatives.

      • Construction documents including Revit, AutoCAD and FF&E specification writing.

      QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year Interior Design accredited school of design highly preferred.
      • 2 + years of hospitality design experience, preferably in Vacation Ownership projects.
      • Industry knowledge of FF&E resources and standards for specification writing.
      • Strong personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
      • Demonstrable technological expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and Adobe.
      • Clear communication skills and a willingness to apply your experience.
      • 3-6 years' experience in Revit, AutoCAD proficiency and specification writing
      • Experience in effectively working in teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
      • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and must be detail oriented.
      • Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural documents such as blueprints.
      • Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee can perform.
      • Ability to communicate, by verbal and written means, clearly and effectively with outside vendors and employees of the organization.
      • Excellent graphic communication skills. Must be able to express strategic concepts analytically and graphically.
      • We work from the office @ 9271 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32819 from Monday to Thursday and work from home on Friday.
