      What will I be doing?

      As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you will be key to help drive Manulife Bank’s continued growth and success. Your role will have a heavy focus on process mapping, analyzing business needs, and creating business requirements and stories. You will join forces with other talented people to identify process efficiencies, recommend innovative low-tech solutions, and help make the solution a reality. Then you start on the next challenge and do it again! If you thrive on this type of work - then we need your people-smarts and keen mind as an Intermediate Business Analyst on our Operational Initiatives Team.

      Your responsibilities would include:

      • Conducting current state analysis and documenting business processes.
      • Using your analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand our business drivers and needs, and bring order and precision to scope and requirements on Operational initiatives.
      • Using a variety of requirements modelling techniques - such as user stories, process mapping, acceptance criteria, and business rules – to convey information.
      • Capitalizing on your ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen your partnership with key stakeholders.
      • Delivering documented solution requirements so that everyone has a clear and consistent understanding of the proposed solution.
      • Using your strong communication skills to lead/collaborate with working groups and present information to all levels within the company.
      • Preparing our business partners for changes that are introduced and articulating what it will mean for them specifically.
      • Using your problem-solving skills and sound judgement to make business decisions that drive befo results and solve customer problems.
      • Influencing your teammates with your good humor and passion for your role!

      Qualifications

      Am I right for the job?

      • You put the customer at the centre of everything you do.
      • The analysis profession isn’t new to you. You’ve spent three (3) years or more growing your knowledge, skills, and experience in this line of work and you have a clear track record of success in supporting or leading small or medium sized initiatives.
      • You are experienced and have utilized the following technologies:
        • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI)
        • MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, MS Bookings, Visio)
      • You serve as a thought leader for low-tech/no-tech solutions to drive value for the business
      • You are a strategic thinker with the ability to think conceptually beyond day-to-day business realities and to effectively consider downstream impacts.
      • You successfully manage competing priorities like a champion.
      • You maintain your composure and best-self during challenging times or challenging interactions.
      • You’re a capable and innovative problem-solver using sound judgement to make business decisions that drive results and solve customer problems.
      • You know how to build successful relationships with your coworkers and mesh naturally in an environment with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams.
      • You are accountable – you make it happen, you own it, and you find solutions.

      Salary & Benefits

      The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

      Primary Location

      Waterloo, Ontario

      Salary range is expected to be between

      $55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
