Prepare Business requirements documents for changes and enhancements
Hands-on professional experience coordinating, start to finish, independently, rating, product and underwriting API modifications for all channels, provinces, and companies.
Coordinate end to end testing in concert with other groups and third-party vendors.
Solid background in defining high-level, detailed, and accurate business requirement documents.
Experienced in Identifying impacts on business processes based on detailed solutions and strategies as well as being able to identify when changes in connectivity will affect other business channels.
Complete the coordination of planned requirement activities, setting expectations for flexibility to changing requirements based on timescales and/or alternative business needs.
Test and validate all changes prior to implementation to ensure quality and accuracy aligns with Aviva regulatory audit and risk & control standards.
Accountable to provide delivery estimates for all tasks and plans assigned to team member.
Ensure the delivery of work is to collaborators’ satisfaction using project management practices including organizational change, release management and post-mortem/retrospective reviews.
Have a good understanding and background of P&C Insurance products.
Works closely with partners to coordinate and schedule API (application programming interface) connectivity changes with IT partners and third-party vendors.
Bring both P&C Insurance / Business and system knowledge together in the analysis to support the harmonization of real-time quoting services with rating, product, and underwriting.
Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with facilitating meetings and liaising with team members
Negotiating and influencing skills to challenge and drive the necessary changes
College or University Degree is preferred
Prior Business Analyst experience in the insurance industry is preferred
Underwriting experience in P&C required
Knowledge of underwriting systems and third-party comparative raters preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Thinks clearly and calmly under pressure to investigate problems to establish real or hidden issues
Self-starter and proactive demeanour with capability to effectively complete end-to-end work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet required timescales
Demonstrable ability to embrace change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive and display excellent judgment
Excellent knowledge of Agile methodology with experience using JIRA
