Job Description
- Req#: 32516914738
- A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, interior design, urban planning, or service design
- A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience, including documentation and familiarity with all phases of the design process
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Adobe Creative Suites with a talent for distilling and communicating complex ideas in a clear and powerful manner
- Strong skills in critical thinking, design thinking, and user-centered approach to design
- Strong graphic design, drawing, and writing skills
- Excellent “people skills.” You will be co-facilitating a series of staff and community engagement workshops
- Experience in Construction Administration and the ability to respond to submittals and RFIs with minimal oversight
- Attention to detail at all scales from interior design finishes to capturing comments and distilling overarching themes from engagement sessions
- Experience with the FF&E process including leading and managing bid process through to install. Familiarity with local suppliers for commercial use
- Ability to take initiative and lead projects with minimal oversight
DESCRIPTION
Margaret Sullivan Studio (MSS) is seeking a diligent, passionate individual with education and experience in architecture or interior design to join our dynamic studio. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is a critical thinker with a user-centered approach to design and who focuses their design approach through the lenses of community, placemaking, service design, social impact, and social justice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Travel may be required as we currently have clients across the United States including but not limited to Maryland, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, California, and Florida.
