- Leading process design during studies, basic and detailed engineering project phases.
- Provide technical support of process design work including design criteria development, equipment sizing calculations, PFD and P&ID development and metallurgical test work support.
- Budget and resource forecast management for the process study scope.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines to deliver best practice process design.
- Liaise and contribute to the Global Ausenco Process Team.
- Expected to stay abreast of latest process technology developments.
- Design innovation / lean thinking into process designs.
- Represent Ausenco’s Corporate image (marketing and conferences).
- Demonstrate leadership in industry safety protocols.
- At least 5-10 years of mineral processing experience within minerals processing and recovery of precious-and base metals (Gold, PGMs, Nickel, Copper, Silver, Lead etc.), preferably with proven field experience (construction, commissioning and/or operations).
- Experience with hydrometallurgical processing, effluent treatment, EPCM studies and projects is an asset.
- Ability to effectively translate field and engineering experience to other process staff and design activities.
- Leadership abilities including project management skills, lead design role capability and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to align with Ausenco’s corporate culture and Client base business cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
- PE registration in Ontario preferred, future eligibility is required.
