Assist with the accounting, reporting and deposit of withholding tax related to information returns such as 1099, 1098, W-2, 5498, and 1042-S.
Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.
Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information in accordance with aggressive deadlines.
Seeks out potential areas of continuous improvement (for example, workflow, automated processes), by documenting business processes, identifying controls and deficiencies, testing identified controls, and work with internal departments for best practices.
May coordinate/review the work of other team members.
Perform moderately complex tasks under general supervision using analytical skills and ingenuity.
Project work as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
Two years of experience in tax, accounting, or comparable role.
Understanding of tax accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Organizational skills to perform multiple assignments.
Written/verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of applicable tax and/or accounting software systems.
Knowledge of on-line research software (RIA, Westlaw).
Proficiency using MS Office tools.
Information reporting experience desired (for example, US 1099, VAT, indirect tax)
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ability to handle multiple projects, willingness to take on new projects, customer service approach.
Work effectively individually and within a team, organizational and prioritization skills, effective judgment.

Job Description Summary
This position is part of the US Information Reporting and Withholding Team within the Transamerica Corporate Finance Department which provides centralized services and support to the organization. This group focuses on establishing and maintaining organizational processes for US information return reporting and ensures Federal, State and Local income tax withholding is performed and remitted in accordance with Internal Revenue Code, State and Local regulatory agencies.Job Description

The US salary for this position generally ranges between $58,000 - $70,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
