      Job Purpose: Help the SMP A&R dept. find new music. This summer internship will be from June to August.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Helping with administrative needs that include but are not limited to completing daily tasks for the executive team, allocation of receipts/folios for expense reports, running any basic errands for the team, and organizing digital information blurbs on songwriters

      • Research for the team on unsigned songwriters and breaking artists via streaming DSPs, attending shows in Los Angeles to discover acts, social media, and more to provide a weekly report to the A&R team

      • Help cover desks for the executive team and/or studio staff when needed

      • Assist the receptionist in welcoming new guests into SMP studios and help stock kitchen/lobby with food and drinks

      • Add songs into our PITCH database to make songs available and ready to use for our Sync team

      • Collecting US Airplay Ad boards from Mediabase weekly to provide to the team as well as any other relevant charts

      • Create information blurbs and release playlists for signed songwriters

      • Document all new releases by US SMP songwriters on New Music Fridays to provide to the team

      • Help listen to demos from our songwriters and provide any creative ideas including but not limited to session ideas, pitching placements, and more

      • Help create songwriter decks based on criteria that can be provided to the Sync team to inform Music Supervisors from networks and studios

      Who You Are:

      • Passionate and knowledgeable about the music industry and A&R Music Publishing

      • Currently enrolled in an accredited university

      • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

      • Must be authorized to work in the United States
